    Regarding backwards compatible OG Xbox games and the series X console


    Will the Xb series X convert the OG Xbox games to widescreen, e.g., the 1st 4 Splinter Cell games?

    I bought SC1 and SCCT from steam after my OG X died in 2018 and discovered the PC versions had widescreen fixes, made them look even better.

    I wish to see all the OG XBOX OG XBOX 360 Games Fully Loaded on XBOX SERIES Consoles and wish to Be Partership SEGA ?
    Not going to happen.The backwards compatibility program ended in 2021 so no more og xbox/360 games will be made playable on the series x/s.

    The couldn't make all games backwards compatible due to technical & licensing issues.

    Due to the fact all Xbox One and all currently backwards compatible 360 and OG Xbox games are gonna be compatible on Series X they have put it on hiatus.

    I am always worried about this but as the all digital trend continues to grow that worry diminishes. Phil Spencer confirmed the Series X will support all iterations of Xbox games all the way back to the og Xbox to present. This implies all backwards compatible
    titles would be supported on the Series X. I can't imagine Xbox would abandon backwards compatibility.

    Will Microsoft continue to support Xbox original and 360 games on the series x?

    The reason that the program was put on hiatus for Xbox One was due to the fact they had to get all the current OG and 360 games currently backwards compatible, along with every Xbox One game, to run on the new console.

    The program will most likely resume a few months after the release of Xbox Series X.
