Refunds for Digital games

How consumers can learn something,if everytime they made a mistake (or do bad choices) they get full refund.....

 

the other question is why would a company produce quality if there is no come back.

There has to be a balance between the two, both partials have responsibility.

 

cant your account get banned or susspended if you ask for refunds on digital games. it happened to me and i have no way to get my old account back. i now have a new account and im starting gaming over buying games and building it back up. I do want a digital

Why would your account be suspended for asking for a refund for digital games?

There is nowhere in the terms and conditions of sale that they say your account may be suspended for asking for a refund on digital games.

You were not suspended for asking for a refund for a digital game.

If you contact the right people they will tell you the reason you were actually suspended but you are probably already aware of why that was.

 

Steam offers refunds for digital games due to change of mind if youve played less than like 2 hours of it or i think if you brought it less than like is it 14 days ago, or if your pc cant play it. I wish it was like that with xbox. But in the xbox terms
of use, if you aquired your profile outside of the US, then your countries laws in interpreting the terms apply. Since I live in NZ, my legal rights apply. NZ and Australia have strong protective consumer legislation over here.The golden rule in business,
"the customer is always right". Even though thos may not always be true. And as a major corporation, im sure they have high standards regarding customer service.

 

I got a refund from Sony after stating that their terms and agreements violate consumer rights in Australia.

Anyway, the new need for speed is amazing bad, you deserve a refund OP.

 

Agreed. I got a refund from turtle beach twice as there headsets were not durable. The left ear piece to my 500x stealth cracked and couldnt stay on my head. Microsoft stated on one page of xbox.com that Recore was NZ $59.99 and on the buy page $79.40. I
contacted xbox support and the next day microsoft corrected it. If it remained uncorrected i would have reported it to the consumer commissioner.

 

Like Az stated. You do not get suspended for asking for a refund on a digital title. If that was the case I would be serving several life terms. As a whole I have found MS pretty good at refunds for valid reasons.

 

Thats correct you don't get suspended for asking for a refund... Doesnt even make sense. I did ask for a refund before due to my son buying a game without my permission, just one of those circumstances and my fault for letting him have access. But, support
was nice about it and gave me a refund, the only catch is that is from what I understood from support is you only get one per year.

If you have valid reasons ,you can get as many a year as you want. However, if you get refunded for title A and buy it again,,, you will not get a refund for the SAME title twice.

 

Asking for multi refunds is considered thieft, even if okayed by support. (read it in the forums long before the x1 even launched. Seems as if getting achievements is considered that you're happy with your digital purchase???) . So yes, you can get banned
for getting a refund. Which is why I recorded my $5.00 refund request for Doom 1 and 2.

 

So..... who has tried to return a half eaten hamburger because they are full? Or filled up there car with fuel and wanted to return 1/2 the tank?

Consumers NEED to be held accountable for their purchases.... DD are not for testing... once you read and agree to the terms of the purchase by hitting CONFIRM... you have just bought it. IF there is a legit reason for the return other than "I don't like
it.... waaaa" then chalk it up to a life lesson....

Electro.... I must ask why you would you want to get a refund for Doom 1 +2? They are classic shooters.....

 

I was very impressed with phone support when I needed to refund my pre-order of the Rise of Iron DLC when I wanted to buy the collection instead to rid myself of my disc for the original version of Destiny. The description said all purchases were final when
I made the pre-order too, but they didn't ask any questions as to why I wanted it refunded. I know it's different to if it had already released, but just sharing my experience.

Suffice to say, I think I'm going all digital from now on though.

I got refunds for games after getting achievements, I have had legimate reasons for all my digital refunds. A digital game is the same as any other commodity you buy, if there's a legitimate problem you are entitled to compensation, be it refund, store credit
or replacement.

As for hamburgers, yes a refund for a half eaten burger is ridiculous,,,, however, if you came across a legitimate issue, ie maggot, tell me you would not go for all you could get ?

PS My experiences are from the United Kingdoms trading standards and practices, other countries may differ.
