I allready chatted with an support employer but he said that i cant get refund for Digital games.

I only played for 93 min and bought it three days ago but the support says there is no refund for Digital games

 

@king, if you trust everything a company tells you, then your going to get taken at every turn.

 

At one point, I saw a post in here that said MS would give one 'no questions asked' digital refund per year... and if memory serves, a few people claimed to have used this policy? Maybe it was a regional thing? Although that wouldn't really make sense if
it was... might be worth a call to support.

 

@BLUE when i asked them about a refund they did ask me how many refunds iv had. thing is i dont normally go for refunds or even selling my games thats how bad NFS is lol but ill live with it

If they really want to make Digital formats the way of the future, they really need some sort of standard policy that gives people a chance for refunds if they've played a game less than 60 minutes. They'd sell more copies.

I have had a few refunds on digital titles, I was refunded because they were broken and did not play properly, not because I thought they were rubbish games.

 

@Enen..... there is 0 trust involved here, it is the consumers obligation to understand the terms per the sales agreement. MS clearly gives the option not to proceed with any online purchase. They clearly state the sale is final and no refunds.

I just bought DD of Rare Replay, wishing I hadn't now (don't care for the game), but I clearly understood that when I hit the confirm the purchase is complete and there is no going back. So here I sit..... with a $22 game on my HD that I will uninstall
and probably never play again. So be it....

 

@king thats not 100% true, in the UK the law is very much on the side of the consumer, just because MS states you can't have a refund under any condition, doesn't mean that is within the law, and therefore means very little, the law will always super seed
companies terms and conditions.

Consumer law regarding digital purchases in the UK has recently changed to protected the consumers even more.

I know consumer law various widely in different countries as does expectation.

There are other aspects of a sale but thats another story, and being unhappy with a game isn't a good reason for a refund especially with EA access offering a trial.

 

If you are in the UK it doesn't matter that Microsoft insist that all sales are final.

If you buy something online or even over the telephone because you didn't have face to face contact with a human salesperson this is considered "distance selling" and you can decide that you are unhappy with the purchase and insist on a refund.

Microsoft may try to tell you this is not the case like a manager trying to fob off a refund that they're obliged to provide but the rules governing distance selling are clear and established. You might have to politely press the matter but you'll receive
your refund.

If you're not in the UK then you're going to have to look into your local consumer rights laws as they apply int he country where you live.

 

@Enen.... I live in Canada (EH).... if it is clearly and openly stated NO REFUNDS..... Purchase final... we understand that. If the UK is different, fine, and if you are a legal expert than a lawsuit against MS should be a cake walk? ...no? Wanting a refund
for something because a person doesn't like it is not consumer advocacy.... it consumer ignorance... ( no offense OP)... and no retailer should be held accountable for that. If the game was broken... different story. You are taking these "laws" out of context....
IMO (I am by no means a legal expert, just a couch expert)...

 

@king I am not an expert, I have a vested interest in online retail so I know a little, all I am trying to express the correct information so people who read this have the right info, while you are entitled to your understand, and I completely agree wanting
a refund simply because they don't like it, isn't a reason for a refund.

@Az, digital sales are not covered by Distance seller regulations, that only covers physical goods.
