    Refunds = bannable?

    I was banned in 2016 for having to many refunds done on my account but there are plenty of people I know and heard of who had more refunds than I did. I submitted a case review and everything but nothing ever happened. I was console banned and my account
    was permanently banned. Is there anyway to get in contact with the enforcement team about this or anyone that can help?

    :)

    Anyone else getting preorder refunds from Amazon or elsewhere?

    I am going thru my email and I have 2 refunds from Amazon on my Xbox One games.
    I got this same email for all the games I preordered thru Amazon, bring the game cost
    down to only $48.99 each.

    Item: Call of Duty: Ghosts - Xbox One
    Quantity: 1
    ASIN: B00CX6XKK6
    Reason for refund: Pre-order price protection

    Here's the breakdown of your refund for this item:

    Item Refund: $11.00
    Item Tax Refund: $0.77

    Xbox Live hard to cancel

    I have called them and even if you meant to cancel after the charge has been made for the next period they won't give you any sort of refund. I was only one day late in calling to cancel and I still could not get a refund with them. The only thing they would do is not automatically renew it when came due again.

    Refunds = bannable?

    Submitting a case review is the only way to contact the enforcement team. So if they upheld their decision, there is nothing else that can be done.

    submit a case to the enforcement team via your Microsoft profile and ask them what the offense was and that may provide some insight into why the account was banned, they may even be willing to unban pending circumstances but as for the refund side of the
    enquiry was it maybe not that you had less than others but the Frequency of the refunds? (buy a game on the 1st play it finished get refund on 3rd, then get new game? as an exaggerated example ofcourse)

    Be aware that we in this forum here are "only" gamers like you, so we can't look into your account to see what exactly caused the ban. So the following is purely speculation.

    But it's not only the amount of refunds that play into that statistic. They also check on how many consoles you (re-)download something, how many license transfers and Home Console changes were done, and after what time these refunds were made.

    If the pattern of your refund use matches too much for a "typical" marketplace-theft, where someone purchases a game, downloads it on a "Home Console", which is then disconnected from the web and sold along with the games, which are then refunded later,
    so the new buyer can play these "refunded" games offline, then that account will be banned for marketplace-theft.

    So for example if someone refunds 5 games during a 5 year period, using only one console, everything is fine.

    However, if you refund 4 games during a 2 day period, using 4 different console devices, there might be something fishy going on.

    So it's not the amount of refunds alone that are a factor in the decision.

    Also: Why are you asking for a two year old suspension? Unfortunately, you can only case review suspensions that happened in the past year.

    so someone who was still logged into my account after they said they signed out changed my username, subsequently charging me and i had to pay again to change it

    You are responsible for your account & everything that happens on it. Considering that letting someone else use your account is against the ToU/CoC & a bannable offence i doubt you'll get a refund.
