Refund of one month automatic subscription

The issue has been solved. What happened is this: when the free month code was redeemed, the latest subscription until September 2017 was automatically cancelled and refunded. So I'll have to buy the 12 month subscription again when the free month expires.

You should be able to log into your account and go to subscriptions and cancel the subscription and receive an automatic refund for the unused portion of that subscription.

Actually, no you don't get a refund for unused days. You are canceling the payment when you cancel Game Pass, but you have already paid for that month. So you will still have Game Pass for the month you paid for, it just will not renew the next payment for
the following month. So at the end of the current month, that's when the Game Pass would stop.

you can't get a refund, however, if you don't want to be deducted every month and you don't want to have the game pass anymore, think about stopping the automatic renewal of your subscription.

As mentioned by xcor, these duplicate transactions are usually refunded automatically as they are recognized by the system.

Alternatively you can submit a refund request just incase the refund is not automatically processed.

If you purchase a one-month subscription, then you enter the code for your 12 month, you subscription will automatically renew once you're about to lose your gold subscription (i.e., about 13 months from now).
