Refund Help; [Mod Removed]

I have just spoken with Gene and she suggested I come here to get help with an issue I am having.

I have the digital download of Titanfall (came from a code to download the game digitally) and have received Titanfall physical copy as a gift (opened) from a family member as a surprise to me. I went through the struggles of trying to get the physical copy
of the game refunded through retailers and such but have come across no luck. So I decided to pursue trying to return the digitally downloaded copy of the game in hopes of getting better luck!

On 11/21/2014, I contacted Xbox Support and spoke with James. He promised me a refund for Titanfall and that it would take up to 72 hours for it to reflect in my account balance. After said 72 hours, I contacted him via email to see if there was a problem
and did not receive any response. After waiting for another week in hopes of the refund being processed, I decided to contact Xbox Support again to see what the problem was.

Today, 12/3/2014. I spoke with Gayle. I was told since the game was purchased with a code, I would have to contact EA to get a refund. I went to EA's website and talked to two different EA Support Reps and they both told me they could not do anything whatsoever
to help me. This upset me since Gayle promised me they would be able to refund me very easily and has had other customers go to them before.

After getting denied by EA, I decided to try Xbox Support again. I spoke with Gene. Gene went through a lot of trouble to see what they could do for me. After about an hour of chatting with Gene, I was sent here. I am hoping I can get a refund for Titanfall
and have that money put into my Microsoft Account so I can purchase games, DLC, Live time, etc with it.

I was given [Mod Removed] as my reference number from Gene.

Yeah, Gamertag is a different story. I am almost 100% sure they will not give you a refund for a name change. You have to be lucky to get a refund. I'm sure everything you buy says that this is a final payment and you can't be refunded.

Yeah I talked to the live person first in a panic lol. But I am always polite to costumer service people. She tried her best to do what she could and was unable to solve the problem. So thats when I went with the refund route. I was just surprised that
they wouldnt and from here on out I will just avoid them at all cost.

The marketplace has a no refund policy. This, on top of the fact that you used a digital download code and didn't actually purchase the item from the Store compounds the issue.

I don't believe you're going to see a refund for an item that was downloaded from a code. Even if the code came with the console you purchased.

However, any billing inquiries (including refund requests) must be dealt with through phone support.

requesting refund. Also here is a page for returning
items purchased on Microsoft store, shows how to do so from the order history. The only ones able to refund are the refund team.

Hi if you read the post you would see that attempting to request a refund on the refund page results in the left screen, also there has been no reply from the refund team I have been left in the dark since last Friday (10-8-20)

Sometimes, it takes time for the coins to show up.

If you do not receive them after 24 hours of purchasing them, I recommend contacting EA support about it, they should help!

Hi, my mom keeps getting charged even after her card was removed. what number can she call to get a live person to help her. she tried [mod removed] and [mod removed] and they both hung up on her. I could really use some help to get her a refund.
