refund game or exchanged it for the same price

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. You can definitely request a refund for a game; However, you won't be able to exchange it with another game. To request a refund on the game, please access http://xbox.com/refunds and
sign in with the account and then select "Request a refund for a digital purchase" after that, manually check the orders for purchase and Choose the reason the most suitable for your request.

The refund department takes up to 72 hours to respond and the money takes three to 5 business days to go back to the account.

Microsoft doesn't price match from what I've read in their store policies. Best Buy will price match with other local stores in your area, and this would probably be the best way to do that. Also, if you've already opened the game, that can be an issue
becuase most stores will not refund or exchange a game unless it is the same exact game/product.

Same problem here and by looks of things same for many...back for refund and exchange for ps4!!

If, as you said, the disc is not being read by your console, you should be eligible for an exchange instead of a refund. In the case of opened game software (also other media, such as music and movies), Walmart and other retail stores will generally offer
to exchange the defective disc for another copy of the same title. Of course, that depends on the return/exchange policy of the retailer in question. Have you tried asking to get another copy of RDR2 instead of asking for a refund?
