    I bought Xbox live with Microsoft points and it was already on my account but I didn't know. How can I get a refund for my Microsoft points to buy something else.

    I contacted xbox support , I got a Microsoft points refund but not a refund for my actual money so im stuck with Microsoft points. I will be buying the limited edition on amazon for 44$.

    Refund money for microsoft points

    A further question around this issue. What happens to unused MSP if I close my XBOX Live account? Do they get refunded at that point? Or can they be transferred to a friend?

    I suspect the answer is that MS simply acquire these points. Can anyone confirm?

    For help with the Microsoft Rewards program, you would need to contact their customer support via their redemption page.

    You can not get a refund on MS points, it is stated on the Purchase conformation screen.

    Typically they will refund MSP's once in a 12 month period. Found that out the hard way over NEED FOR SPEED CARBON DLC. Purchased some cars for 80 pts each. Wasn't able to use 2 of them. They refunded me. Next day bought tcar bundle for 200 MSP. Did not
    work .They said only 1 refund every 12 months.

    The simple answer is that you don't get your points back.

    You could try pleading your case to phone support
    support.xbox.com/call-us     but they'll tell you the same thing.
