    Refund an Xbox digital Gift Card


    Is it truly impossible to return an Xbox digital gift card? I bought a digital gift card for a friend but he did not want it so I requested a refund (no more than 5 minutes after the purchase). I submitted a refund request but it was denied. None of the
    money has been used and the code has not even been added to an account. Why can seemingly any digital content (apps, in game currency, games, movies, Microsoft store gift cards) but an Xbox gift card be refunded??? It's not a lot of money ($26) but I'd much
    prefer to have it back in my bank account.

    I was specifically told by xbox support to post it here and Rockstar would be in contact with me.

    And on my receipt it specifically says:

    Special note for digital gift card customers: You can cancel your gift card order and receive a refund up to 14 days after your digital gift card has been sent or until your gift card has been redeemed, whichever occurs first.

    Unfortunately there is not way to transfer V-bucks from one account to another. Also something to note is that virtual currency like V-Bucks is content that cannot be bought and sent as a gift. That information can be found here:

    Only digital content in the Microsoft Store that has an option "Buy as Gift" is able to be sent as a gift to someone else and the recipient has to be in the same region the content was purchased from.

    The only thing I can suggest is to request a refund and then buy a gift card for the other person so they can buy the VBucks with the gift card. Here is a link going over the refund process:

    If you got it as a digital gift then you can request a refund at https://xbox.com/refund. However if you purchased it as a card from a store then only they can offer a refund
