Redeeming Xbox gift card region error

Um amigo meu fez uma compra de cartões presentes para poder por o game pass ultimate ,mas só que não caiu até agora ...sabem quanto tempo pode levar para cair ?

Problem

You see the following error code when you try to redeem an Xbox gift card:

This means that the currency that the gift card is in doesn’t match the currency used by your Microsoft account. For example, you have a gift card in Canadian dollars. That card can’t be redeemed on a US Microsoft account, which uses US dollars.

Solution

To resolve this problem, you can try to return or exchange the Xbox gift card at the retailer from whom you purchased it. Then, make sure that you obtain a card in the correct currency for your Microsoft account.

If you bought a gift card from another region, go to your setting and change the region of the xbox to the region you bought the gift card from, Redeem it, and then you can bo back to your previous region.

Xbox Gift Cards are region locked, so a card purchased in the US wouldnt be able to be redeemed in India.

What does it say when you try to redeem it? Are you in the same region as the gift card you purchased...ie as it's a US $ card, are you in the United States? As gift cards in a different currency cannot be redeemed in a different region....I have a UK account and can't redeem US $ cards
