Redeeming promotional Fallout 3 code included with Fallout 4

I cant redeem the code, its giving my region errors. Not sure why this is, seeing as Fallout 4 works just fine.

Can you clarify the error code you're getting? Be sure the region of your account and the region you're currently located in are set correctly. Cross-region accounts aren't supported.

 

Right, I understand that its a region based error. The thing is I didnt put in a region or have any sort of problems with Fallout 4. So basically, I am left with this code for Fallout 3 that I can do nothing with thanks to a quirk in the way Xbox live used
to work...

 

You will unfortunately need to set your account to a region to be able to redeem the code. Set up your billing information on your account to do so, and let us know if you still run region errors. Thanks!

 

I understand that. What I am saying is that the code was sent from (I assume) Microsoft, and I never had input in the region, so what do I do with the code now. Keep in mind, I have no intention of changing my region just to redeem a code that was sent for
the wrong region for some reason.

 

You are more than welcome to give the code away to a friend! It's your code, and you can do what you want with it, but if you would like to redeem it, you need to change your region to do so.
