Redeeming Microsoft reward points then using it with another account (xbox)?

Hi all,

I am just wondering cause the Microsoft account I use on my xbox is different to the one I claim Microsoft rewards points on. Am I able to redeem say.... a 3 months xbox gold live subscription then use this with the account that I am using on my xbox?

If when I redeem the subscription, I get a code then that would be easy, I can just put the code into my xbox and redeem it that way. Or is the redemption locked to whichever account you redeemed it on (in this case it would be a different account to my
xbox one). I hope all this makes sense, I know I haven't explained it very well. Apologies for that. Thanks.

If it's a code then you can use it on any xbox you like.

If its added to that account then but game or what ever it is and gift it to the gamer tag you want 🤔

Normally you get a gift card code that can be redeemed on any Microsft account. So you can use it on your Xbox account if you want to.

Hi there,

As you have correctly stated, if you redeem the rewards points into a 3 month Gold subscription, you can use that 5x5 on any account - codes are not locked to a specific account when claimed.
