    purchased a 1 year gold card and cant redeem code keeps giving me error codes and when i put in the code no help or anything at best it ststes no results im not real happy right now and it takes forever to log in to xbox live

    Can't redeem 12 month live gold card

    Did you have a Gold membership prior to redeeming the code? You're showing as having a Gold membership now.

    That's it. No need for new accounts. Just redeem the gold membership code on the account you use.

    Xbox Live trial memberships can only be redeemed if you do not have an existing Xbox Live Gold membership. You can redeem a trial code once your current membership has expired.

    Correct you need paid gold membership to redeem shift codes for Borderlands 2.
