Redeeming gamepass code from friend = suddenly not having gold????

Tried using a gamepass code that a friend wanted to redeem but couldn’t because it asked him to add a type of future payment which he didn’t wanna do so he gave it to me, then afterwards it was acting like I didn’t have my 1 day of gamepass left or Xbox live gold. I have no clue why this is happening but it’s really frustrating me. please help me out, thank u

Your best bet have your friend take it up with the third party site you got it from

Fyi gamepass does not.include gold

Only ultimate does

You might want to ask your friend where he got the code from

after I tried redeeming the code and showed up invalid it is treating me like I don’t have Xbox live gold anymore. Will this fix itself tomorrow or something? Normally we have Xbox live gold payed yearly

did you have gamepass ultimate prior to using the code, if so it converts gold to gamepass ultimate. to use gold only you have to let the sub run out before using a normal gold code. as it does warn this when redeeming.
