Redeemed Minecraft Lego Dragon Slayer Skin but cannot find it :(

Hi, I'm not a big gamer and always get lost with this stuff. My son just purchased a LEGO Minecraft set and a brick came with a code to redeem for the Dragon Slayer skin. We went to Edge browser from our Xbox One X from his gamer profile and redeemed, it said it was successful. He launched Minecraft and could not find it in his skins Does anyone know where we went wrong?

As a background (if this helps): Xbox main account under my gamertag, his account is a child account. I double-checked from logging into my Microsoft account and see that the game was purchased by me, though if I go to Minecraft.net and log in to either mine or my son's account, both show "looks like you have not purchased Minecraft yet". He plays this thing every day LOL.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Clean your console's MAC, reboot, and then look for the skin with the instructions below, please.

Clean your console's MAC

Network Settings> Advanced Settings> Alternate MAC address and Clear.

Launch Minecraft and at the Main Menu screen, click the clothes hanger in the bottom-right corner of the screen, locate the skin pack and skin you wish to use, and select “Confirm” to use the skin in-game.

Yes indeed. I just logged into his Microsoft account and under order history I see how in-game purchases as well as Lego Minecraft Dragon Slayer item from today

Thank you. How would he be able to see this when he logs into Minecraft on the Xbox? He tried earlier and can see several skins but not that one.

The game was purchased with your account but does your child have their own account?

In the purchase history of your child's account, can he see the code he redeemed?
