Purchased from Amazon. The message says the " Code already redeemed". I assuming, at this point, I should have not redeemed the code on my laptop. He did not have his when he was visiting us.

Hopefully you didn't brought the code from a third party seller. If not, reach out to Amazon. Assuming that one of your family members redeemed the code.
