Redeem pre paid code error

Hey I recently purchased a 3 month pre paid code for live but every time I try to enter it onto either my Xbox or my computer, I get an error code saying it's on their end (Microsofts). I think this has been happening for like over a week so if anyone has
some info that would help.

You can add Microsoft Points pre-paid codes by using the Xbox 360 console or by using Xbox.com.

Xbox 360 console

To enter a pre-paid Microsoft Points code by using the Xbox 360 Guide main menu, follow these steps:
Press the Xbox 360 Guide button, and then go to the Marketplace area.
Select Redeem Code.
Enter the 25-character pre-paid code.
To enter a Microsoft Points code by using the Add Points Wizard, follow these steps:
To access the Add Points Wizard, press the X button while you view any content description screen within the Game Marketplace or Video Marketplace areas or while you view the Memberships section in the Account Management area.
Select Redeem Prepaid Card.
Enter the 25-character pre-paid code.
Xbox.com

Visit Sign In (Sign In) or follow these steps:
From Xbox.com, use your Windows Live ID to sign in to your Xbox LIVE account.
Select My Account from the My Xbox drop-down menu.
Click Redeem Code to enter the pre-paid code and add Microsoft Points to your account.

Are you receiving any error codes or do you have any other information as to why you are not able to redeem your pre-paid code? With some of the pre-paid codes you may need to wait between the times you are trying to enter the code.Thanks in advance

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your code, I can however confirm that at this moment in time all Xbox services (other than a few issues with Xbox 360) are functioning properly.

My advice would be to contact Xbox directly if you are experiencing issues with pre-paid codes/vouchers, below is the link.

They can verify if your code is valid.

If your code isn't valid, you'll have to contact your local reseller.

To check, did you purchase the game through the promotion or did you a redeem a pre-paid code? If you redeemed a pre-paid code I'm afraid you wouldn't be eligible for this offer.

Regarding pre-paid codes, there is a distinct difference between activated codes and redeemed codes. You will need to verify whether or not the source for these codes is reliable. If you are still getting error messages when attempting to enter and redeem
the codes, you will need to contact over the phone to determine whether the codes are activated or redeemed.

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. Is this code a 25 digit code? Xbox will only take the 5x5 codes as pre paid codes, otherwise you will get an error code.
