    I get the following messages on xbox whenever I make a purchase... I go to the rewards.microsoft.com, but what do I need to do to actually redeem these?

    Go to the redeem section of the site and you can find a gift card you want and use the points you've accumulated to redeem it.

    My Account is from US but appears Mexico

    "no ms points are locked to the region they were purchased in due to differences in currency"

    pretty sure that says they cannot be redeemed in any other region except the region that they were purchased in

    mexican ms points can only be redeemed on a mexican account

    a US ms points can only be redeemed on a US account

    i cant get my microsoft points on cos its a hot mail address with same name both mine cant use my 800 micro points

    MS Points ARE bound to the account they were redeemed/purchased with. (Unless you purchased a Points Card from a retail store, in that case they are only bound once the card's code is redeemed on a account)

    ex: If I purchase/redeemed points on Account A, I can not go to Account B (even if its my account) and use them. They are linked to the original account (Account A)

    Purchasing microsoft points for other people

    Unfortunately there is no option to gift purchase MS points directly from Xbox.

    There are some online game retailers I.e Amazon that will email you a redeem code if you purchase a MS points card online via their site. Or alternatively goto a game retailer, purchase a points card and forward the redeem code.

    Did this for a friend and just messaged him Happy Birthday over live with a redeem code.

    Hi there RagMan85, it is true that Microsoft Points purchased in one country cannot be redeemed in another country. For example, if you have a points card that was purchased in Canada, and you are located in the US and have a US regioned account, then the
    code will not redeem.
