    Hi,

    I bought a code for :

    Sea of Thieves XBOX LIVE Windows 10

    However, I have a problem activating.

    After entering the redeem code, I get a message :

    Contact who you got this code from. We can't redeem it.

    So did you redeem the code or not? Again, how about contacting support?

    Regarding pre-paid codes, there is a distinct difference between activated codes and redeemed codes. You will need to verify whether or not the source for these codes is reliable. If you are still getting error messages when attempting to enter and redeem
    the codes, you will need to contact over the phone to determine whether the codes are activated or redeemed.

    sometimes when a code is purchased it isn't immediately activated, this can take up to 24 hours in some cases.

    So best to do is to wait 24 hours and if you are still experiencing the issue then you will have to contact the store where you purchased the code, since they didn't activate it, they will need to activate it before you can use it.

    Hey Christian.

    The code cannot be redeemed due to the region differences. He lives in America and I live in the Netherlands. When redeeming the code he was unsuccessful in redeeming the code due to that error, so it should still be eligible for return as he's not got the game on his account.

    Once you redeem a code, it is linked to the gamertag that activated it. You can't redeem the same code on another gamertag.
