    what would happen if i redeem a prepaid xbox live gold membership code when my other membership hasn't expired yet? will it add on to the current membership or will it restart from the day you redeem the code?

    You're showing as gold already. Try checking your account at
    http://commerce.microsoft.com     to see if it did actually redeem the code.

    Otherwise, make sure you are typing each letter and number exactly how it shows. If the code is not from your region, that could also show an invalid code error.

    I went ahead and moved your post for better visibility. Just to clarify, did you redeem an Xbox Live membership pre-paid code? Or did you purchase an Xbox Live membership through the dashboard promotion? If you redeemed a pre-paid code, you will not qualify
