  1. Redeem code feature not working with brand new game


    Above was advice for redeeming a problematic code from last year. I've tried this and it doesn't work. I've also tried switching language and region which was suggested elsewhere but this doesn't work either. I have this problem with a brand new Xbox One
    X and the Shadow of the Tomb Raider code. Bought it today from UK retailer Game. This does not work. Just gives the following message "Check the instructions that came with your code. You might need to redeem it on a different web page." That is written in
    red. Underneath this it says "Xbox. Please refer this code on your console." Trying to download it on the console directly doesn't work and trying through the web page doesn't work either. It's a 5x5 code included in the console box.

    Please help..... It's driving me nuts!

    What error message are you getting?

    I had similar issue saying that the redeem codes 'had already expired', and trying to find a contact number or live chat for Xbox support is a nightmare

    This seems to be an emerging issue from what I've seen on the forums today.

    We suggest to get in contact with
    Xbox Customer Support
    to see what they're doing about this issue with the code that came bundled with your Xbox.

    No that didn't work. Been trying to redeem code for shadow of the tomb raider xbox one s since yesterday lunchtime. Have spoken to Game who can't do anything unless Microsoft say the code is faulty but MS say it is ok and they are aware there is a problem.
    Just how long are we supposed to wait? Not happy. My account is fully active.

    This is an emerging issue, and as stated on the
    Microsoft Service Agreement
    : We strive to keep the Services up and running; however, all online services suffer occasional disruptions and outages, and Microsoft is not liable for any disruption or loss you may suffer as a result. In the event
    of an outage, you may not be able to retrieve Your Content or Data that you’ve stored. We recommend that you regularly backup Your Content and Data that you store on the Services or store using Third-Party Apps and Services.

    We are working on it diligently but as of right now the best course of action would be to
    Request a Callback and have the case opened to get it all settled!!

  9. This is not helpful. There is no disruption or outage to the online service. Xbox Live is running fine. Microsoft are simply supplying codes that are faulty and do not provide the customer with the promised product. We are now trapped between a rock and
    a hard place with Game saying they can do nothing and Microsoft appearing to be utterly impotent on the subject too. This code is worth £50 and must be sorted.

    I too have no account suspension and have tried the previously stated fixes such as language and region changes to no avail. It's a joke frankly.

    explain the situation. They have tried my code and in realising the problem is not user error, they have deactivated my code and supplied a new one at their end which has forced a download of Tomb Raider on my dashboard.

    All fixed now. Ignore the region and language changing advice as found on other pages. That won't fix this.

    thanks for that i went back on to xbox customer support and 30 mins later everything is fine i now have the game downloading on my xbox one x

    After that use this URL: https://account.xbox.com/PaymentAndBilling/RedeemCode?doRedeem=0&token=#####-#####-#####-#####-##### where you replace the '#####-#####-#####-#####-#####' part with your code

    Let us know if that works!
