Redeem Code bought from Microsoft

I bought a code on MS.

I logged onto XBOX account to try and redeem the code and was informed that the code was redeemed.

I did not redeem the code for any game or anything else.

How is this possible? Is there a way the XBOX of Microsoft can inform me what the code was used for?

This is very frustrating that you cannot contact anyone at xbox or ms on this.

You bought this code from the Microsoft Store? Any issue you have with a code you bought directly from Microsoft should be able to be resolved at https://support.xbox.com/

Any third party code you can also try to get it sorted out with them there and they may ask you for details regarding the purchase and will supply you with directions if they cannot resolve the issue.
