Red Dead Redemption 2 won’t allow me to start it even with the disk if I’m offline.

Whenever o try to start rdr2 while offline it won’t allow me to start it. It didn’t do this until I took my console along with a select few games to a friends house to update them. I am worried that I may not be able to play this game again, apart from when I take my console along with the game to a friends house that has WiFi.

Hi, I am having the exact same issue. I've reset my console, removed profile, reinstalled game and dlc, set home xbox, set offline mode via network settings, and it still says check connection. No error code, just "Check Network Connection".

I own the full game digitally. I contacted rockstar support and they have said this is an xbox issue and not on their end. Many people in the subreddit for red dead also having this issue. I really hope we get a fix, PlayStation doesn't have this issue at the moment.

I started having this exact issue last week too. When I put the disc in the drive, I get the message on the screen prompting me to 'check my connection'. I've owned the disc version for three years and it's the first time I'm seeing this.

I have same problem , tells me I need to check my connection when I try to launch it offline

Yeah, I have digital version, if you have disc version, I don't see how uninstalling/re-installing wouldn't yield same outcome.

I downloaded the latest game update yesterday and tried to play the single player offline, and surprisingly the game launched and loaded normally. It might have something to with owning the digital version I'm guessing, as you say there seems to be quite a few people that suddenly have this issue.
