Red Dead 2 Disk won’t install.

    Red Dead 2 Disk won’t install.


    My Red dead redemption 2 won't install. The disc itself has not even a hint of a scratch or any damage at all.

    I've tried going off line to install it and I cleared my local saved games but nothing seems to work.

    It only installs to 1.6% then "Installation stopped”. I’ve tried to install the game on other devices and still same thing. Has somebody had the same issue and how did you resolve it?

    I already tried a soft reset and it is now my third disk, that doesn't work and they are new. Red Dead Redemption 2 was easily installed.

    Same problem. Tried the following discs: Gears 1, 2, 3, Red Dead, Bordeland 1. None works. The label says install disk but nothing happens.

    HELP NEEDED ASAP

    Are you sure that you purchased the full Red Dead Redemption 2 and not just the Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode. If you purchased the Story Mode, then you need to own Red Dead Online in order to play it. Story Mode is just DLC for Red Dead Online and cannot be played or installed without Red Dead Online.

    Xbox Series X - Smart Delivery for physical games?

    My thought is it would work just like any other update.

    I have a physical disk of Red Dead Redemption for the 360.

    Remember the game installs the files to you HD. So your technically just using the Disk as verification.

    It was 4K enhanced on the One X. After the update I was good to go enjoying Red Dead in 4K.

    its a good thing to install the game of the disk if you tried to play games from your disk load times would be very long every times you changed level etc.

    also with newer games getting bigger with 4k content on them, just look at red dead 2 comes on 2 disks and needs to download bug fixes, can easily get extra space on external drives
