Recurring issue with xbox app

There is a bug in the xbox app for pc that does not recognize external drives as NFTS 4k formatted. My drive is formatted in this way. Every other game app made for pc has 0 issues downloading onto this drive, steam, Uorigin, epic store, and not only this but looking at the forums about 130 people have had this issue. This is not anyhting on my end and formatting my 8tb hard drive is not an option as it is already in the correct format. This issue looks like it was first identified a year ago and Microsoft has yet to do anything. I just wanna play my game.

Hi,

It might well be an NTFS volume, but that does not mean it's formatted correctly. The cluster size must be 4k (or 4096 bytes) or it will not work.

Step 1: Search in the Windows Search bar for Windows Powershell. Right click on the icon and select Run as Administrator

Step 2: In the Windows PowerShell window, type fsutil fsinfo ntfsInfo (Drive letter): and press Enter.

So if you had an external drive labelled F it would be fsutil fsinfo ntfsInfo F:

I found out what the issue is. DONT USE THE 1-year recurring option. Purchase the points. And upgrade through the Elite App on xbox. Youre welcome Xbox support.

Seems to be a recurring issue with the YouTube app that may have been introduced with the App's latest update. You should contact Xbox Support and inquire. 1-800-4MY-XBOX.

I was having the same issue and turning off recurring billing fixed it for me! No clue why though. I turned it back on after restarting the Xbox app and it still seems to be working ok.

Online purchasing is one piece of the issue here, but do they allow for recurring payments? Payment methods for Xbox must allow this as they may be used to buy recurring Xbox LIVE subscriptions.
