Recurrent issue with game updates

To sum things up, about 2 or 3 months ago, every single game update from games such as Overwatch, Monster Hunter: World, The Division 2, Apex Legends, Destiny 2 and, most recently, Warframe, has had the download size equivalent of that of the actual game.
So, for instance, a 625 mb update for Destiny 2 turned into a 62.5 GB one, which is the actual download size of the game. I have searched this issue in many places and could only find other people who had experienced the same problem, without any luck in terms
of a solution. I was wondering if anyone would be able to direct me to a possible fix.

P.S.: Though the download screen shows a game sized update, the console does not register as such. So, retaking the Destiny 2 example, even though the display showed 62.5 GB on the update size part, and it took a considerably larger period of time to download
than the expected for those technical 625 mb, only 625 mb were "consumed" from the hard drive.

Hi Edu,

Have you changed anything on storage devices recently ?

I would suggest to try a reset of the console by the settings :

- Settings => System => Console info => Reset console => Reset and keep my games & apps

See what happens after that.

I would also check the storage settings there to verify everything looks good when using a external storage.

- Settings => System => Storage

Maybe the game company has just incorporated all the updates and updated game so people dont have to download individual updates separate so it looks like an update i just download them its a ain sometimes but its always good to be up todate

Hello Eddy, sorry for the waiting, I had to check if the solution you pointed to had actually worked and for that, I needed a game update, which took a while. Anyway, after accepting an update for "The Division 2", I found that the fix you suggested didn't
work, and the problem I described in the original post remains.

P.S.: I tried both of the suggestions, in the case of the hard drive, it all seemed all right, and as for the reset, unfortunately, it didn't work

This has been a recurrent problem and usually corrected by a Windows update, Windows fallback or installing the latest version of Microsoft Solitaire Collection.

never ran into a mod or hack in BO2, your connection seems the problem if it is such a recurrent issue OP...
