    Recovery phone number out of service


    I am trying to access Old xbox accounts, and most of them have my old phone number as the recovery number. The old phone number was put out of service a few weeks ago when I got my new phone, and I can't access the old accounts. What can I do?

    When you try to log in, for example on this website

    https://account.microsoft.com/security

    You will be prompted for the verification code submitted, if you do not have access to it, choose "I don't have any of these" to replace the security information.

    If you still have problems, try to recover your account with the recovery format available here:

    I've been trying to recover my main Microsoft account for a few years now.

    No recovery email I believe. Just a phone number I linked to the account that is no longer in service. Thanks.

    Thank you for your replies and assistance.

    I tried. I don't have that option because I can't verify the account because that's the into that's been changed.

    I get a pop-up asking me to verify my security prompts and since it's this other kids info... I'm still stuck waiting 30 days.

    I just don't understand how MS doesn't have a work around this. I know I'm not the only one.
