Recovery of damaged game progress files

During a crash in Assassin’s Creed Origins, the game progress files were apparently corrupted. Upon re-entering the game after cloud synchronization, the game immediately crashes to the home screen. Deleting the local game progress from the console didn’t help, so it seems the files are corrupted in the cloud.

Is there any way for me to recover my game progress?

I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues.

When a save file is damaged, it is generally not possible to recover it.

Sometimes deleting the local files and even reinstalling the game help in this kind of problem, if you already tried deleting the local data and it didn't work, try reinstalling to synchronize the data again.

once formatted a disk is all but unrecoverable as sectors are overwritten it gets progressively more unrecoverable

then again the damaged file system probably already trashed lots of data

might be an idea to get a new disk for the console

It seems those game files are corrupt, have you delete those in game files as well as the in game progress and install the games from O? (in game progress files might have to be deleted)

If you have a Windows 10 PC, you can download the Xbox insider hub app to that, and unlink your Xbox using the app on there instead of the console.. Once you have done that, then your console might update to the public build instead of the insider one.
