Recovering an old xbox account without knowing or having access to email

I found my old Xbox 360 account and got very nostalgic. I tried signing into it but I do not know the email associated with it. All I know is the gamer tag associated with the account. Is there anyway to change the email and password of an account without knowing the email? Is there anyway I can recover this account or is it gone forever?

Hi there,

The people on this forum are mostly Xbox Ambassadors and some moderators that don't have access to that information. It's recommended you contact Microsoft directly to see if they can get you back in.

8 to 9 years old!! Wow no I dont think the account would be even there if it was inactive for that long time and without all the required info about the email and password or valid way to get it I dont think you will be able to recover that account.

The console that this profile existed on no longer exists. I’m trying to download the profile on a different Xbox 360.

I’ve heard of that too. I went to Xboxgamertag.com to search my old gamertag and it picked my profile. I would assume that means it’s still active.
