Recovering an old account I don't have all of the info for

I used my mothers xbox live account since I was a child and didn't really think about asking for the account info before she died and haven't been able to get back in for a few years and was wondering if there were a way to recover it without the email or phone number that was attached its an old account and hasn't been accessed in a long time and for sentimental reasons want it back but I guess I understand if thats not possible I have the email and password that is about it

I have no way to login to the emails because she would regularly change the passwords and forget them herself
The phone is LONG gone
I wont be able to answer the childhood friend security question which I was prompted I do not know if it changes I only tried once

The automated system decided I did not have enough information and I have no way of getting it unless you happen to have a spare ouija board I can borrow

But I do have physical proof like old ID cards and maybe a Death certificate if a human would be able to verify my situation as I have no way of getting the information I do not have like card numbers or last three emails sent

Unfortunately, the only option to recover a forgotten Microsoft account is through the account recovery web form:

Note: If the account has a 2-step verification feature enabled, the account recovery webform can't be used to recover your mother's account.

I have the same problem too. Ive gone through xbox support line and have no other means to recover my old account. I had hundreds of dollars in games and i believe my old account was hacked since i dont have access to my old games. All i have is my old
profile info. No access to the emails associated with my old account or the phone number.

I started a new account because my old account got hacked a while back and I recovered it but it keeps having suspicious activity on it every now and then so I don't feel comfortable keeping it. I traded an old 360 in at gamestop and they didn't format
my info off of the system so I think the guy still has access to it and after repeated calls to microsoft they told me all they could do was blacklist the gamertag

Unless the age of the child account is 18, there is no way to promote the account to an adult. It is really the only thing that can't be changed about your account. Once your age is set, it can't ever be changed. I would suggest, if you don't want to make
a new account, trying to recover the password for the fake parent account that you created if you don't know it. If you don't know the email for it, it is possible that support (1-800-4-MYXBOX) can assist you in recovering it. But, if all of the info that
you put into the parent account is fake, then you are going to have a diffucult time recovering anything about the account.

Long story short, there isn't a way to change your age and there isn't a way to promote a child account that isn't already 18 years old. Sorry.
