    recovering a newer game save


    hi. i am having a "problem" with wwe 2k18 (xbox one, deluxe edition). happened a few days ago. started up wwe 2k18 and noticed a big thing of text. i believe it started out saying mycareer or my player and 30,000, etc. (i think). before, or after, 2 boxes
    popped up. game save(s), i assume. one said newer, one said older. not sure which i chose.anyway, i noticed most everything is gone; i.e.; created arenas, created championships, all 100 alt. attires, etc. the newer/older thing was similar to this:

    "Which one do you want to use?

    You get this message when your console has newer or different locally saved data than what’s saved in the cloud, usually after you play offline. You’ll be given the choice of which saved data to use, the locally saved or the cloud saved version (and you’ll
    be notified which is newer). Pick the “save” you want to use and continue."

    is there any way to get the newest game save back? if so, how? also, can game saves be backed up to a usb hard drive? i hope i posted this in the proper place.

    Recovering saves

    Hey, so I had a save on an old profile in a 360. Later, we switched to a one, and that profile got deleted. Here's the thing, we want a save from that profile, and we checked and that save is still on the hard drive. Problem is, it says we can't switch what
    profile it is connected to. Also, this profile was never connected to Xbox live.

    Recovering saves

    Saves are tied to the profile that created them & can not be transferred to another profile.

    Hey there brm2005,

    I tried to look up any solutions to your save game issue. Yet, unfortunately, I was only able to find that once you choose a method after you play offline, that that decision appears to be final.
    I may be wrong though!

    Regarding saving game data on a USB Hard Drive is completely possible with the Xbox 360. Sadly, I believe that with the Xbox One you can only simply "upgrade" your internal storage. You could always move the entire game data to a USB Stick/Drive
    on the 360, but it may be that that is possible via the One. Unfortunately, I can't confirm it, some of the other sources we're conflicting recovering a newer game save :(. But ot upgrade your storage you just need a 3.0 USB Stick/Drive with a minimum of 256 GB capacity.

    Which one do you want to use? Locally saved vs. cloud saved game data?

    Like many have said, it should tell you which one is the latest(newer) saved file. As far as I know, once you selected a save file, it will overwrite the old save file and you won't be able to recover it

    Hey there

    When you play the game will save too your device (ie pc or console) and the clould at the same time. If for some reason your not connected too the internet or there is a xbox service issue or any other issue that prevents the save been uploaded then the
    game will only save too the local device.

    When you start the game the next time then the save is out of sync so it will ask you what save you want too use the newer one on the local device or the older one in the clould ( it will also show what one is newer or older) When you choose the one you
    want proberly going too be the newer one then that will upload too xbox live and you use that save going forward.

    If you choose the older save then the newer save will no longer exist. So you only see the option when the saves are out of sync it isnt made too be choosen each time

    It's possible that your saved game from newer versions of the game cannot be used with earlier versions.
