Recover from lost cloud data?

Hi Charles. If the saved data is still in the cloud, it should be possible to recover and will automatically sync the next time the game is launched. Otherwise, if it's deleted from the cloud, I'm afraid the progress is permanently lost and can't be recovered.

Yes. Seems I’m screwed. Would like to know how it happened to revert so far back in Cloud saved games. I save all the time and shutdown the Xbox every day.. could understand losing one day, not 8 days. Only answer seems to be reverting to my playing the Cloud game version, them switching to the new XBoxX. Guess clearing local saved data may destroy data on the Cloud. Never happened in many years on Xbox. I already saw info on your link. Thanks anyway.

I called them twice and left messages for them to call me back. Not a word in days. Just went ahead from the revert and figured this as an opportunity to correct my costly mistakes. Just missing the Star Eagle I already worked hard for. Are, or any of your contacts having issues with outpost drilling, storage….seems like my workers went on a UAW strike. How do we know Bethesda support knows about game bugs? Thanks again…

Have you tried contacting Bethesda and raising a support ticket. As they run the game servers its possible they could roll back your account data.

The game servers are run separately but game update information is tied to Xbox live etc.

This was advice given to me today by Microsoft support for my achievement issues-

"Let’s suppose you’re playing Starfield and you already passed the whole game getting all the achievements unlocked. but they were not properly uploaded to our Xbox gaming cloud. Well when this kind of things occurs we’re limited to remove your account from your console, then restart the game and try to force our system to update your changes. However, if this does not happen immediately the best way to go would be waiting until our system deliver the next update to see if the game servers already saved the info recorded by your in game account."

Funny thing. My achievements show up that could only be a earned be getting to the level 26 I was at. Already tried signing out and back in again. Didn’t help. By what I read, the current data has now been overwritten with the level 14 data. Also, the only saves available to load now are levels 1, 2, 9, 12 & 14; tells me the cloud save of Xbox or Starfield/ Bethesda are messed up. From now on I will quit Starfield every time I leave. It could be the Quick resume feature.

And, the help desk at Xbox told me to wait 24 hours…they must not understand Cloud saving any better than I do.
