Recore "play anywhere"

Hi all,

I am really looking forward to the release of the game Recore, I looked into the game and decided that i wanted to pre order it. The only thing that keeps me back is that it says that it has "Xbox play anywhere". I am only interested in playing it on my
desktop since i don't own a xbox one, can you buy/ play the game solely on computer or do you need to own a Xbox one console.

If you don't require a Xbox one in order to buy and play the game, do you have to buy the game in the microsoft store since i can't find physical copies of the game for computer.

(I do own a xbox 360 but i don't use it actively and it doesnt have an xbox live gold subscription)

I purchased a card, much like a Xbox points card, or a gold membership card, at a Microsoft store today and was told i can simply enter the code into the Xbox app on Windows 10 and will be able to download and play the game (Forza Horizon 3). The problem
here is the code i received is 10 digits, in the form (xxx xxx xxxx), so i cant enter it into the app because its not a standard 5x5 25 digit code. Iv called support three times now and got different and useless answers each time, so my question is, WHY MICROSOFT???
And what do I do?

To enter a promo code, you would go through the purchasing steps on the store - microsoftstore.com, put the specific item in your cart then there is an option for Enter a Promo Code right in the Cart below the cart items.

The promo code would then show the addition/deduction of that the code was for.

 

no, you do not need an xbox for Play Anywhere games. yes, you will need to buy it digitally, and you will need to play with your gamertag on a Windows 10 PC.
