    for those wondering how to capture on Series X/S 9If You Are New To It) (I've Seen A lot Of Threads On This) just get a usb 3.0 external hard drive format it on said console for Capture audio etc and go to settings capture location and pick the Hard Drive (If You Named It Mine Is Xbox Capture) And Set it to either 1080p or 4k you get up to an hour test it first press record or press the little button on the controller and press Xbox logo to see if it says 00:00/01:00:00 sometimes changing from 1080p to 720p and back and selecting the time length can make it work for the hour

    hope this helps those new to recording on console recording on Consoles :)

    Cant stream xbox one guide to my pc anymore

    I use one guide to stream other consoles to my pc using the xbox console companion then use recording software to record them and I was not trying to record live tv using one guide to copy tv shows I use one guide so I can record my other game consoles
    because I dont have a hdmi recorder xbox one guide is the only way for me to record my other consoles.

    How long was it after you started recording when you checked if it was still recording?

    how long do you have your console set to record for?

    Xbox One X randomly stops recording 4k gameplay

    In my case the issue is due to overheating... I noticed that is stops recording while capturing in 4K with heavily graphics games but if you play a game with very simple graphics it doesn't stop recording.

    Also, It you turn on the console cold and starts recording right away it will record 4K for a longer period (5-7 minutes). But if you start recording once the console has been on for 15+ minutes (running a heavy game), it will stop recording 4K less than
    60 seconds.

    Just Click this link! This is the absolute best product for recording gameplay on a console.
    It's the only one on the market that allows you to record from a console without having a computer hooked up to it!

    I've tried the Roxio and Hauppage and this one is every bit as good as the Hauppage but no extra PC necessary for recording. And....for less than $150 you can be recording your gameplay! You just can't go wrong!!

    What quality will the Xbox One record in?

    @anarchist you can only record 30 second clips. The console itself records a continuous 5 which at anytime you can say record that after a awesome moment and it will record the last 30 sec. If you didn't say record after 5 min that whole 5 min is deleted
    and a new 5 min cycle starts.
