    Hi,

    I just purchased the newly released game Recompile, but it's not installing and doesn't show up in my library. When I go to the store it says I own the game; I can only purchase it as a gift. It's also in my Microsoft purchase history. However there is no option to install, anywhere, and again, it's not in my library either.

    How might this be resolved?

    Are you trying to install on a One or a Series S/X?

    Recompile is only available for Xbox Series X|S and PC.

    If you own an Xbox One, One S or Xbox One X then you won't be able to install it, hence why it doesn't show in your library. You'll need to request a refund.

    EDIT: Static recompilation = ahead-of-time binary translation.

    According to an article I read on the EuroGamer website, the team are recompiling the games to the Xbox One's X86 (or more correctly X64) based architecture. There is a certain amount of emulation going on, but not full emulation. This is why they are
    downloaded when you insert a compatible Xbox 360 disc and not installed from that disc.
