    Recently upgraded to an Xbox Series X, unable to make it my home Xbox.


    When I click to make it my home Xbox it places a check in the box and after about 30 seconds it clears the box. I have reset the console with no success. What else can I try?

    Recently upgraded to an Xbox Series X, unable to make it my home Xbox.

    There's an outage with that setting at the moment that's being worked on. So all you can do is wait for it to be fixed for it to work.

    It appears on the console. It was purchased on my account so I own the game. I have also recently upgraded to an Xbox series X if that makes a difference, it was well after experiencing this issue though.

    No my Xbox series x is online and on the same network as my Xbox one and my Xbox series x is set as my home Xbox

    Xbox Series X games / upgrades / updates has to be installed onto the Series X internal or expansion card SSD,

    You can have Xbox One games on your external hard drive that will get an Series X upgrade but the games will need to be transferred to the Series X and then the Series X upgrade will need to be downloaded onto the Series X SSD,

    As an example...

    I have Marvel Avengers on my external hard drive that will get the Series X upgrade and I will transfer the game over to the Series X SSD ready to download and update the game to the Series X version when available.
