    Recently updated xbox app on pc now constantly freezes


    Subject says it all, the recent update on windows has made the xbox app impossible to use, it continues to freeze as soon as it launches (yet i can still play games via start bar searching) so far I've reinstalled the app, I've "Repaired" the app, I've signed my profile out and back in, I've even uninstalled some games to see if they were a problem, nothing has worked, i went from a perfectly working app that had no issues to be updated to a broken version of the app

    Open Powershell in admin mode and paste the following,

    Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

    Then restart your PC to apply changes.

    Xbox Companion App Changed?

    Xbox updated their PC apps recently with the introduction of the PC Game Pass. They changed the name of the Xbox app to the Xbox Console Companion and there is another app for PC Game Pass now. I'm not sure if they changed anything in the console app other
    than that.

    Just to clarify, are you entering the console IP address and not you computer's IP address?

    Full removal of xbox Insider Pgm and full factory Reset fixed My issue but created Install issues with MSN weather and Windows Maps constantly updating after a fresh install but the report a Problem app works now Just gotta re sync and reinstall a few things I'll be in good shape minus the App constantly Updating bug
