    Hello! This is my first time using this forum so if I make a mistake at some point like perhaps responding and such please understand. (I’m new to this sort of stuff) I have had this Xbox 360 slim with me for a good handful of years. My family bought it
    back in 2011 I believe when I was about 6. We’ve had this console and the same two controllers ever since. Just recently I experienced my first “red dot” while playing Fallout: New Vegas. (It’s fixed now) I’m considering getting my first xbox one or even if
    I’m lucky, enough money for christmas to purchase the Series X, that is... if it’ll be in stock by then (which I doubt). Incase I have to say my final goodbye to my childhood xbox 360 slim, I would shove some game save data from the console and cloud into
    a usb stick (obviously from games that are backwards compatible amd leaving some data to be deleted from games I could easily survive with starting from scratch in) and put said usb stick into a port into my future upgrade. The only thing is, now that I’ve
    put everything onto the usb, no matter what game I play, it freezes. Fallout: NV for example, I am able to reach the main menu and select the save file I want to play. As soon as the “yes or no” prompt shows up and I select yes, the game freezes but the audio
    still goes. No looping or stuttering. I can even press the center button on my controller and hear the familiar “bwoom” noise. The only game that doesn’t freeze is the only downloaded game I had on it which was Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition which I also moved
    data from its original spot into the usb stick. Other games just freeze and the audio stops. Like Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. As soon as I swing my lightsaber in the hub area, the game freezes mid animation and no audio can be heard at all. I even tryed
    launching Sonic Unleashed and it froze instantly on the section that shows all the logos and stuff. More specifically it freezes when the “Hedgehog Engine” thing shows up and there are patches of weird pixels as the fan goes nuts inside the console. Can anyone
    please help me figure out what the problem is?

    Recently repaired my Xbox 360 Slim and now every game I have (all but one are physical discs) keeps freezing at some point. How can I fix this?

    Discussion of self repair is not allowed in these forums.

    Also, I don't believe that Xbox Ones or the new Series consoles will read saves 360 saves off of a USB. They can only be accessed through the cloud.

    My apologies. The only promblem is the account that I have on my xbox 360 has an xbox live subscription that uses an email that doesnt exist anymore yet it still works for whatever reason. Is there any way I can swap out the email or microsoft account
    with my own such as the one I’m currently using to sign in on here? If so, will anything from the cloud such as save data from backwards compatible games work if I ever do end up purchasing an xbox one or the series consoles?

    Why do I need to pay for games I already have on Xbox 360?

    No, I did not purchase them digitally. I have physical copies of all my Xbox 360 games. I didn't start purchasing digitally until Xbox One since you have to install the game anyways.

    So, I have the games already on my 360 but when I go to get them on my One they want to charge me. I don't understand this. All the 360 BC that I have on there now like Burnout, all 3 Bioshocks (360 versions) and a few more, I was not charged for.

    So I am wondering why now I need to pay for games I already have for the 360 rather than the way it was before where I was not charged
    You need to put your physical game disc in your XBOX One, then it should automatically start to download the game. Note that you'll need to insert the disc every time you want to play, just as you would on the 360.
