    "Recently played with" list isn't updating anymore - not working for weeks


    The "recently played with list" is no longer updating. I have had my account for over 10 years... this has never happened. This feature is particularly important when playing "Ark".

    I can't find any solutions on line or even discussions on this subject that isn't a couple of years old and doesn't have any resolution. It is incredibly frustrating not being able to get support from the Xbox team.

    Does anyone have an idea on this or, more importantly, a solid resolution to this? I play with people online, but this list is aging and is showing that my most recently played with is 3 weeks ago.

    Hi! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

    Please perform a power cycle reset, follow these steps:

    Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

    Restart your Xbox One console. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your Xbox One controller to open the Power Center. Select Restart console and then select Restart. (If the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button  on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console again to restart.)

    After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    Ricardo,

    I've been in IT for over 30 years. Please explain to me why you think rebooting the console and the router would fix this one thing? Afterall, I can sign in, I can play online... it is just the recently played list that is no longer updating.

    Now, I will say I have rebooted the console and reset the modem several times since this issue showed up. Your recommended solution doesn't work.

    It would be nice for you to explain why your certain set of steps would possibly address this isolated issue and why ALL other network connectivity is unaffected.

    Thanks for your answer, but I have already waited for over a week, so the rendering/updating isn't the problem.

    What's weird about this is the fact, that from one day to another it didn't show the profile pictures of my friends in the friends list anymore.
