However, I can suggest you two more possible solutions to try:

A. Connect your console to a different Wi-Fi network, like a mobile hotspot. Then remove and add your profile and verify if you can retrieve the progress.

B. Perform a physical power cycle by disconnecting the power cable.

"Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

Plug the console power cable back in.
Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on."

I recently ordered dark souls 3. I am still waiting for my code for dark souls one for my xbox one. a code in my messages/message center within 7-10 days to put in for dark souls 1.

Never received the code and it's been 3 weeks.
