Recently got a replacement Series 2 Elite controller and is faulty

You can send the controller back to Microsoft for replacement but as it is out of warranty you will need to pay. This link has information about this and instructions on how to send the controller in for repair.

I just think the fact i have to pay to fix a controller they sent to me whilst under warranty is stupid

As I understand, you asked for a replacement for your Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, sent it to be replaced and they replaced you with another faulty controller and now you want a refund, is it correct?

Currently there are no places to buy replacements but if you have a controller that's faulty I'd go back to the store and swap it for a new one. If you have the original Elite the paddles from it work on the Elite Series 2...the thumbsticks however do
not. It'll probably be a little bit before 3rd parties start making accessories if they do at all. There weren't a lot for the original.
