Recently changed my gamertag on the Xbox 360, now I seem to have two gamertags. Help?

Based on your screenshot it is evident that this image is telling you that you have two gamertag. However, a Microsoft account can only have one gamertag. To make sure you will get your answers for your query, try this:

1. Launch a browser.
   
2. Sign in to your account account on Microsoft Account | Profile
   
3. Account Name:
   
   • Check what is your profile name? Is that the N***** or D***** or your real name?
     
4. Now, on new tab of your browser, kindly go to Xbox | Profile
   
5. Gamertag:
   
   • Check if your gamertag is N***** or D*****.

Upon checking the Microsoft Account name, I see my real name. For the latter, being the official Xbox website, I see the desired gamertag starting with D.

Please, try power cycling the Series S.

To do it, follow these steps:

Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 60 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait at least 60 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

Plug the console power cable back in.

Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

Try resetting the Xbox Game Bar to its default settings.

To do this, follow these steps:

Open the Xbox Game Bar by pressing the Windows key + G.

Click on the Settings icon (gear icon) on the right side of the screen.

Click on the General tab.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Reset button.

Restart your computer and check if the issue has been resolved.

Great to hear it was the right gamertag that successfully change your previous gamertag. In that case, you need to make sure you are connected to the internet to sync your Xbox Live and then followed by sign out of your account. You may then powercycle/restart Xbox 360 and sign back. Usually changes for gamertag through Xbox 360 may take couple days to display the updated gamertag on Xbox 360 so waiting will be part of the process.

That is normal

As that is your classic gamertag.and the new one is your current gamertag

You can change the classic under customize.my gamertag. Under your account settings

This is because.not.all games .support the new gamertag system

If you had done it on a xbox one or higher console you would've been given an option to customize your classic upon creation of the new one
