    The game in question is "Middle Earth: Shadow of War" and I literally just downloaded it today. I first saw this pop up when I tried to open the game when it reached the "Ready to start" phase of the download and I just dismissed it thinking that things
    were changed or something but I fully downloaded it and anything else needed (a 10 mb content thing just for clarification) and then I tried again, excited to play a game I've wanted to for a while now and same pop up comes again and I'm disappointed. Is it
    a problem with the game pass? Or is it my account or something else entirely? I am connected to the internet, everything else works, I still have a day left on my xbox live gold (unless a day went by and I don't know about it) and I'm signed into xbox live
    so I've no clue what the issue is.

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
    Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
    Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

    The hard reset did not work. And to answer Xbox Tech Virus also both of my subscriptions are up to date and I can use everything else from both the pass and xbox live gold.

    If you take a look on Twitter and Reddit (among other places) you can see that everyone who downloded this game, no matter the platform, cannot play it. This is a widespread issue that has been going on since the gane became available for download at least
    3 hours ago.
    Good to know, I don't know where to look on twitter and I don't use reddit so I'd have not known/thought it was an xbox isolated issue. Thanks for the reply.

    Hi Cr4zy,

    What device are you trying this on? If on console try removing and reinstalling your profile. If on PC make sure you are accessing game through the beta app.

    I am using an Xbox one S but I personally don't see why I should try removing my account and readding it if one game added to the pass doesn't work when everything else of mine does.

    I'll try it nonetheless.

    Removing and readding your profile is a troubleshooting solution. Sometimes it can help clear up the problem your having with the game. I hope it helps resolved the issue your having with the game.
