Since the newest update there is a seach bar an settings icon on the home page that is really ugly, oversized an too much of a dark background an can't be altered by any settings to fade it, dim or remove it completely! Will this be updated or am i gonna get a grey box with Search burned into my tv with a setting icon???

I think its really poor placement. An i hope it can be updated to be removed from the dashboard by choice. We shouldn't have a feature added to the home page that we cannot alter or adjust or remove. It makes the top right battery area look over crowded an tacky.

Unfortunately as a player I can only inform you about your question, it's up to Microsoft to change it in the next update.

i hope we can remove this very soon.i know microsoft tries to give us the best gaming experience,and believe me,the series x is the best console out there.but please get rid of the search bar and settings icon.thanks for all the hard work you do

You asked the community if there is a way to remove the new search field from the hud and I just informed you, if you want you can still talk to Microsoft support. What you evaluated was just my service and not Microsoft. Can I help in any way to make you feel satisfied?

currently it is not configurable, unfortunately we have to wait for changes in the hud.

It makes absolutely NO sense as to why this has been forced onto the home page?

You can press Y to access the search panel.

An you can get to the settings panel underneath your gametag profile in the blade.

It was all easily accessible enough without having some huge grey box that is oversized compared to the rest of the text on the dashboard, that is going to burn into people's TV units for the sake of "accessibility" it was already accessible to begin with! Ever heard of its not broken don't fix it?

Will this be getting noted to be able to customise/remove this utterly un-needed or wanted feature in a future update? Preferably before I have a permanent reminder of it seered into my tv unit if I leave my xbox on the dashboard for over 10 minutes.....
