Recent update seems to make audio go in and out on blu ray

We understand that you're experiencing an issue regarding the audio within the
Blu-Ray Player application.

Our suggestion here, attempt to follow/review our Blu-Ray Settings support article, and we recommend the following specifically
be attempted:

Persistent Storage

Use this setting to clear Blu-ray–specific data that's been cached to the console.

Choose this option to find Clear and go ahead and do so.

Try this for us and let us know if this works.

Just to follow up: I finished a Blu-ray (Fast Five) and the audio never seemed to go out of sync, so I don't know if my problem only exists on DVDs, or if it was a fluke that the Blu-ray worked all the way through. I'll keep this updated as I watch more
stuff on the machine.

It is possible that this is related to the Blu Ray app and the recent updates it has received. I have also been experiencing weird issues with the Blu ray recently and no one at Xbox will acknowledge if there is a known issue with the Blu Ray player.

Hello Nigel,

Make sure there are no updates on the console. As there have been issues with the movies and TV app, there may be an update. There also was a recent update for the Microsoft store. Can also try clearing persistent storage as there were issues. Go to settings>Disc
and blu ray>Blu ray>persistent storage clear three times.

UPDATE: Xbox One S returned. No solution for audio sync issue on DVD/Blu-ray playback.

After scouring the internet I cannot find a solution. The Xbox Support seems to be correct. There was an issue with the Xbox One S where the audio was not in sync with the video on DVD and Blu-ray playback. I returned the Xbox One S.

Hopefully few other experience the issue.
