Recent unknown change to controller idle

Hi

I've been using my Xbox at night to listen to podcasts on YouTube for some time as this seems to help with my lifelong insomnia - I've found that as long as my controller is plugged in and I have headphones connected to the 3.5mm jack i can turn the TV off
and fall asleep (eventually) without fear of losing my audio remedy!

Only in the last week (or maybe less) my controller has been turning off in the same scenario... At first I thought this was a one-off but now even when I'm watching YouTube or Netflix with headphones on, the controller will turn off, which stops the audio
to the headphones.

This seems to have also changed the behaviours of screen-dimming whilst watching Netflix, now I have to nudge the controller every 9 minutes (which usually interrupts the video) to stop the screen dimming!

Anyone know what this sudden change is in aid of, and how i can reverse it?

Looking at your recent games - You've been using splitscreen online and idling the second player.

My controller was off. It had turned off and the console was on idle.

.....it’s happening to me as well. It seems every time my controller goes off, Netflix dims and reduces in audio.

This has to be faulty coding involved with their idle feature. Their idle test is probably controller off lol

Would love a response for how to fix this issue as it is getting really frustring
