Recent Captures Says 4k HDR for Clip, but Captures App Shows 1080 SDR?

I know the problem exists in both 4K SDR and HDR. I haven't experimented with 1080 capture and probably wont use it as it doesnt look good and captures at 30fps which is also weird.

Have you changed consoles (eg upgraded to an Xbox One X) or your game capture settings to 4K SDR or HDR? If you selected 4K captures then you now need to manually upload them to Xbox Live. Only 1080p or 720p clips are automatically uploaded to Xbox Live
providing you still have space remaining.

If you want to check if you are near your storage limit on Xbox Live then open Recent Captures and select Show All. There will be a warning if you are near to the limit (not 100% if it displays at 90 or 95%). If you see the warning then select some of the
older clips you no longer want to keep and delete them to free up space on Xbox Live again.

thanks I saw that QUEENMISFITS. however that's the post i used to get to where I am now. it did not solve the issue for me that I am facing and in that article it states

"On the Broadcast & capture screen, select "Game clip resolution" then select 4K SDR, or 4K HDR. 4K SDR will record videos in a standard colorspace, while 4K HDR will record them in High Dynamic Range,
making them viewable in full detail only by those with HDR-compatible TVs."

So it explains a little about the difference between 4K SHD and UHD color space but not why the saved file is coming out as 1080p when my settings are clearly set to 4k.

Are you recording to internal or external storage? The latest forced Delta ring update (same update as Omega currently) on June 2 broke 4k capture again for me, SDR and HDR.

Ive been taking in game screen shots for twitter and when i view them they are 4k hdr but when i save them to my phone through the app they appear to be sdr can anyone help?

Be sure in the capture settings, that you have the resolution you want the captures to be recorded in set, also check your xbox app and phone for similar settings😊👍
