Receiving unusable quest rewards

This is was I sent to support, they asked me to post this on the forums so here we are.

"I just received a reward via Xbox live for completing my monthly quest. However I cannot use the reward I was given. I worked hard for this reward and have been a loyal Microsoft and Xbox customer since 2001 and was wondering if I could trade in my reward
for another. I received a code for $500,000 in in game cash for GTA V and do not play or own the game. I just want to know if I can receive a different reward. I have not used the reward code yet."

I believe this is an issue that needs to be addressed as this is the second time I've received this reward two months in a row and last month I had just given my redemption code to a friend of mine. This month I would like this fixed. I don't own GTA V and
I'm willing to bet a lot of people receive rewards for there quests that pertain to games and services they don't partake in.

Maybe by addressing this issue the reward team will decide to start rewarding people based on games or services they have used within the last week or two and checking the reward that was last given to them to keep them from getting a duplicate.

I'm not sure why these issues were overlooked when designing a quest reward system for XBL but I do know that these are some major issues to be overlooked.

With that being said I am a veteran of the Xbox gaming platform, a long time trusted user of all Microsoft systems and have owned countless devices specific to the Windows OS and am 100% confident thru my years of experience with Microsoft that whey will
find a way to help with these issues.

I look forward to hearing what the community has to say about this as well as the rest of the support team.
