    Noticed a weird occurrence where I am getting not so pleasant messages from gamers after matches in SmartGlass when I have my settings set to friends only. I don't see where SmartGlass has its own settings to adjust this. I am using the Xbox One SmartGlass
    Windows 10 app. Anyone come across this?

    WRONG! Absolutely pathetic that Microsoft does not fix this issue. People are allowed to send hate messages even though i have literally everything blocked on my xbox privacy settings. Instead of giving hateful people a message can not be sent message,
    they allow the hate to be sent without any notification to them that they can not send us anything. I think Microsoft does this so they can continue to collect and spy on all people in the world. If the message is not sent then Microsoft can not continue their
    spy operation. Disgusting.

    I'm having same issue. I have all privacy settings in XBOX to block ALL MESSAGES yet people can still send me hate messages thru smartglass... So annoying....

    This was the fix. I uninstalled the smartglass app and installed the xbox app and no longer receive messages from non-friends. the smartglass app must be outdated.

    I ended up turning off the communication setting and now I'm not getting any messages. This also means I can't speak during multiplayer but don't really care about that.

    Hey there JG_AZ!

    Sorry that you're dealing with this issue.

    I can totally see how that could end up being really annoying.

    I believe that this is because Xbox no longer supports any Smartglass app.

    If you still use it, it could lead to strange problems like what you are experiencing.

    I would suggest uninstalling it and message using the Xbox Windows 10 app itself.
