    Received invalid code from $10 Xbox gift card preorder promotion


    I received an invalid code from $10 Xbox gift card preorder promotion, it is nine digits rather than the standard 25 digits. I was instructed by a chat operator to create this post in order to have the correct code sent.

    The $10 gift card is a promotion from microsoftstore.com. You would have needed to preorder from them in order to receive the gift card.

    The code is for use through microsoftstore.com, not Xbox Live (the email instructions are wrong). So when you make a purchase on microsoftstore.com you'll need to enter it as a promo code during checkout. If you still have issues redeeming it there, you
    will need to contact customer support for the Microsoft Store.
